Capturing the Spirit of the St. Joseph-Ogden Dance Team
In December, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph the St. Joseph-Ogden Dance Team. It was my first time shooting for a dance team, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The girls were fun, friendly, and incredibly photogenic, making my job an absolute joy.
We captured three different looks during the session: sideline, jazz, and lyrical. Each outfit reflected a different aspect of their performances, but lyrical was definitely my favorite. The grace and emotion they brought to their poses truly embodied the art of dance.
One of the highlights of the session was allowing the girls to see their portraits in real-time. They had the chance to review their images and even retake a pose if they weren’t completely in love with it. It was so rewarding to see their excitement and confidence grow throughout the shoot. Capturing the St. Joseph-Ogden Dance Team’s energy and passion in real-time made the experience even more special.

6x IHSA State Qualifier
